Sky Guardian: Master of the Hunt  - Raptors

While staring into the immense yellow eyes of our Great Horned Owl, you will learn about the astonishing physiology that makes her such a formidable predator.  Using our natural teachers - our collection of live falcons, hawks and owls - we will explore their unique features and how the raptors use them to advantage in the wild.

Encounter Living History.  The modern-day falconer walks in the footsteps of 4000 years of tradition and history.  You will encounter living history as you transport back millennia to the “Sport of Kings” as once favored by such nobility and notables as Charlemagne, Mary, Queen of Scots, Empress Catherine of Russia, and Genghis Khan and understand why falconry has long been called “the Sport of Kings”.

Our master falconers will showcase a few of our hawks and falcons as we explain the history of falconry, the rigorous training process, and the role of falconers in conservation efforts today.
